The location of the center of Callantsoog is unique. From the beach, just up and down the dune and you arrive in the middle of the bustling, cozy center. There are many shops, cafes and restaurants around the beautiful village square. The shops are open all year round on Sundays. The Tante Jaantje museum farm is also located in the center. Slightly south in the dunes is the unique nature reserve Het Zwanenwater. The flora and fauna are invaluable and unique in the Netherlands. Very rare plants grow here. The two dune lakes are a source of nutrition for the many birds that find a nesting place here.
