Whether the weather is good or bad, Schagen is the place to be for shopaholics. Clothing stores, perfumery, shoe stores, sporting goods and even the optician and drugstore can all be found along the Gedempte Gracht or, in case of bad weather, in the Makado Centre.

Thursday is market day! It is a goods market that opens from about 8.30 AM - 1 PM. The market stalls are located on the Gedempte Gracht, Nieuwstraat and Laan.
